With the Fall season finally upon us, I am craving some serious home-cookin’! Now that I live in Texas, I have slowly learned what “home-cookin'” means here… Lots of gravy, fried foods, biscuits, and brisket, served with a cold, tall glass of sweet tea. Trust me, Texas food is too good for our own good. While it’s all so delicious, many of the traditional dishes here are… let’s say, not great for our bodies. But, I am confident that not all delicious homemade dishes have to wreck havoc on our bodies.
So, how ’bout some “healthified” cornbread? These cornbread bites are the perfect side to a big pot of turkey chili. And, better yet, they’re actually somewhat healthy!
