Eeeeek, Christmas is almost here and I can hardly stand it! The holidays stir up such joy and happiness in my heart. Even though I no longer wake up at 6:00 am on Christmas morning, in anticipation of all the day will bring, I still love it with all my heart. The giving of gifts, family gatherings, festive decorations, smell of Christmas trees, and sound of Christmas music, all hold a special place in my heart. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it’s the truth.
In all seriousness though, I really do cherish the holiday season, including all the yummy treats shared throughout the month of December. In case you haven’t had your fair share of delicious desserts this season, I wanted to share one of my all-time favorite mug cakes with y’all. The best part is it’s actually healthy, meaning low carb, no added sugar, and full of good-for-you ingredients! Your tummy will thank you :)
Oh, and if you haven’t tried Halo Top ice cream yet, you haven’t lived. It’s the perfect topping to any mug cake. The ice cream is so creamy and flavorful. And did I mention it’s high in protein and low carb? I’ve been hooked ever since I tried my first bite years ago, and I bet you will be too! (Mint Chip, Chocolate, and Vanilla are my favorites.)
